My foundational approach to counseling is an evidenced-based practice called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Within this my aim is to work collaboratively with you to identify core values through the evaluation of automatic thoughts and beliefs and address how they may be contributing and/or interfering in your daily life. My belief is that as automatic thoughts are addressed they can be reorganized, allowing for positive changes in behavior and in the way we feel.
